The article tells us of the trouble the film had at getting to the cinemas, as it was delayed and was not a big hit when it was finally released. It gives us a breif explanation of the plot, and later criticises the film saying "There’s a cringeworthy sequence in which Wright attempts to convey just how noble and unbroken the homeless man’s spirit is by intercutting his violin playing with shots of pigeons flying over LA." and that "you just feel disappointed". Although later on in the article they credit the film for being a true story and not steering away from the true facts. But later claim that the film was such a fail due to the fact that they show grim social realism but give it no real spark at the end, as they claim that "they eschew all the usual Hollywood fairy dust".
